My name is Paige Allison Mingus. I can start by telling you that I have passion and drive and a love for acting, but there’s nothing special about any of that, of course I have that, we all have that. What sets me apart from other actresses when it comes to acting is my intelligence. Sure, I have raw talent and decent looks, but what I really bring to a role is thought! I have years of training in character analysis, plus years of physical theatre and improvisational work, all things which help me to use my head as much as my heart in acting. Most of my training has been in the theatre, but I know it to be true that theatre study only helps an film actor to add depth to their character. In my four years of BFA Theatre Performance training the one complaint I had about my acting was that it was too subtle for the stage and too much like film acting. Although I have minimal film experience, like I said earlier, I am an intelligent actress and a fast learner, there’s nothing artistic you can ask of me that I will not be able to figure out and deliver. Collaboration is another advantage I have over most actresses. Over 800 hours of behind the stage experience has taught me the great art of working well with others. There is never a time when I will sit back and make others do things for me, I like to be involved in the whole production, not just one part. When there is work that needs to be done, I am always willing to help out. I have graduated from my BFA program in May 2009 and moved to NYC for 2 years, where I worked on a few student films here and there. Currently I am living in Cleveland, OH and am looking for new and exciting ways to stay involved in the theatrical world while working full time.
